I get asked this a lot, so let’s put it all out there.
Travel Agent/Specialists are very important, especially if you are trying something new, or just want to have someone do the leg work for you. If you have a need to be in control (like myself) travel agents will likely not be the most beneficial for you — I’m aware I’m not supposed to say this but if you’re like me and want more control with things it is sometimes less stressful for you to manage your own plans. There are many travel agents out there, some are very hands on and some who have a more relaxed approach. If this is meant to help you then it is best to find an agent who will be a good fit for you. We are not all alike but all want to help you.
However, even with the need to have a sense of control there are benefits to finding an agent who fits your needs. It’s nice to not have to think about one more thing in your life. Interview people and find someone you like, then let us do the work for you. This isn’t a one size fits all thing, but when you find a good fit then it’s nice to relax and know someone else will have you covered.
To summarize the reasons why travel agents are so important, especially when it comes to cruising, is because there are so many caveat’s that the first time cruiser, or even a mildly experienced cruiser may know about.
Speaking from Experience
I will speak to you from personal experiences, give suggestions, and provide a thorough amount of pre-cruise information. Each cruise line does things differently, or has different amenities included in your cruise fare. We will help to identify details that even the direct cruise lines agents won’t mention – they are amazing but don’t always provide that extra information for clients. Independent parties will give you more information and other recommendations based on each individual sailing.
No Additional Fees
I’m not speaking on behalf of everyone, some travel agents may have an upfront deposit or an additional cost, but many of us do not. Our payments are all received from a commission that the cruise lines will provide to us upon the completion of your sailing. It is not an additional cost. If you don’t take advantage of our personalized service you will still pay that amount as it is already built into your cost that the cruise line will keep as profit.

Literally. If you book with us we will price monitor your cruise for you. If a lower price or better promotions are out there, we can adjust those for you up until your final payment due date. My favorite thing to do is to email clients and let them know how much we’re saving them! Not only that, if you’re flexible, we will help you get the biggest bang for your buck with your room categories.
Payment Plans
We can offer a few different payment plans and help keep reminders being sent. No need to call to make a payment as they will be automatically setup for you. It really takes the thought right out of it!
Issues? No Problem
We will handle the issue(s) for you. Don’t worry about potentially spending hours on the phone with customer service representatives, we will manage any/all issues with you and for you. While technology is great, there are still a variety of things that came come up that need to be addressed immediately: I.e., reservation errors, stateroom mechanical issues, weather interruptions, other various unforeseen issues. We will fight for you and manage it all.
